Maharishi’s message to the world press

“I can create world peace
with unemployed people
in every country”

Thousands of people have already come
forward to become Founders of World Peace

I am not a storyteller—my words should not be taken as gossip or philosophy

(July 28, 2004) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi proclaimed his readiness to raise every nation to invincibility and create permanent world peace by training unemployed people in every country in the peace-creating knowledge and technologies of total Natural Law. “The government already supports the unemployed with food and shelter,” Maharishi said. “Now, at least, they can be trained to create invincibility for their nation.”

Maharishi made his declaration during his most recent global news conference on July 21, which was broadcast live via satellite and Internet webcast from the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in Meru, Holland.

Training the unemployed and uneducated to be Peace Government administrators

Maharishi said he will train unemployed—or uneducated—people to become administrators of the Peace Government in every country. “The Peace Government is the government of Natural Law, which peacefully administers the infinite diversity of the universe with perfect order,” Maharishi said. “I will enliven in the awareness of a few simple people in every country the total creative potential of Natural Law so that their thought, speech, and action are always in full accord with the evolutionary trend of Natural Law. They will become administrators of the Peace Government and quietly govern the nation from the level of the Unified Field—the transcendental field of consciousness within their own Self.”

 “You don’t have to be employed by a company—
you can be a royal employer of Natural Law”

Maharishi said his offer provides a precious opportunity—and a clear choice—for all people. “Let the world press inform everyone: ‘You don’t have to be employed by a company—you don’t have to be a servant who works for one particular company or government or individual,’” Maharishi said. “‘You can be an administrator of the Peace Government—you can live like a monarch and be a royal employer of Natural Law.’”

Maharishi said the first step of employing Natural Law is to demonstrate command over the force of gravity through Yogic Flying. “I am not a storyteller—my words should not be taken as gossip or philosophy,” Maharishi said. “I have the knowledge to raise anyone to that level of consciousness where he will be able to command the uncommandable force of gravity, which governs the whole universe.”

Maharishi announced that courses in Yogic Flying will soon be held in every country to quickly raise the people to enlightenment and create coherent national consciousness. “Then the government will enjoy the fruit of this coherence—prevention-oriented, problem-free administration,” Maharishi said.

Universities, colleges, and schools offering
total knowledge are being established worldwide

Maharishi acknowledged that he has talked long enough about creating peace and that now is the time to implement his global peace program. Maharishi said that thousands of people from over 80 countries have applied to be “Founders of World Peace,” with more applications coming in every day. And universities, colleges, and schools are being established throughout the world to educate the coming generations in the total knowledge of Natural Law. “The awareness of our students will be omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent,” Maharishi said. “They will not fall sick—there will be no problems, no suffering, no hang-ups, and no hold-ups.”

Founders of World Peace want to be the instruments
to create an enlightened human race

Maharishi concluded by praising the Founders of World Peace as being like lighted lamps—and said that soon the whole world will be filled with such lighted lamps. “Of course, the Founders of World Peace want to gain enlightenment for themselves—but more than that, they want to be the instrument to create an enlightened human race. They will be rulers of Peace Governments. They will be spontaneously capable of blessing every individual to be nothing less than the totality of Natural Law—the will of God. Now, with the blessings of the Vedic tradition of masters, we will have a beautifully administered world for all generations to come,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi pledges to raise
every nation to invincibility

Invites four people from every city in
every country to step forward who desire
to free their nation from problems 

“We will awaken invincibility in any government—
no matter how dilapidated or helpless it may be”

(July 20, 2004) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi pledged this week to fulfill the aspiration of the wise throughout the ages to create invincibility for every nation and permanent peace in the world. The only requirement, Maharishi declared, is for four people from every city in every country to step forward with the desire to free their nation from problems.

“I have the knowledge of total Natural Law to create invincibility for every nation,” Maharishi said. “I invite four people from every city to come forward with the desire to establish peace, prosperity, and happiness in their motherland. Through these people, I will raise their nation above the reach of problems and build a mansion of permanent peace in the world.”

Maharishi emphasized the four people could be educated or uneducated, wealthy or poor—and it does not matter whether or not they practice his Transcendental Meditation technique. Already, nearly 1,000 people from cities throughout the world have stepped forward to become “Founders of World Peace”—with more coming forward every day.

Maharishi delivered his historic call during the final session of the second week of the global Parliament of World Peace held on July 16. Maharishi addressed leaders of society—businessmen, lawyers, doctors, educators, etc.—who are convening in countries on all continents for the Parliamentary sessions. Maharishi’s approach will support all governments

Maharishi described his approach to invincibility as “simple, natural, and authentic” because it is based on the very nature of life—total Natural Law. Maharishi said that his approach will bring support to all governments. “Our desire is for the administration to be so successful that the people will never want to change the government. We offer as an example of ideal administration the administration of total Natural Law, which eternally governs the infinite diversity of the universe with perfect order. Now every government has the opportunity to take a step with us and establish its administration on the ground of total Natural Law, where harmony, happiness, and evolution belong to everyone,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi emphasized that his offer is not a matter of “take it or leave it” for a government. “The skill of a doctor is to give the medicine to the patient even if he cannot swallow it. We are skilled in awakening invincibility for any government—even if the leaders’ thinking is dilapidated and helpless. Every nation is a dear member of our world family, so we have to give the knowledge to the government one way or another.”

The time for talking is over—now is the time for action

However, Maharishi cautioned, the time for talking about peace is over—now is the time for action. “The destructive forces have their agents everywhere to bribe government ministers to buy arms and missiles,” Maharishi said. “In every country, the government is killing people and putting them in jail. The time for such inhuman administration should be over. I just want one resolution from four people in every city—that they desire to raise their nation above problems—and the rest will be taken care of by total Natural Law, which is omnipresent, omniscient, and almighty.”

The family of nations will enjoy prosperity and peace—
and the supreme level of consciousness

Maharishi acknowledged that in today’s problem-ridden world, some people may find his offer unbelievable. “When it is dark outside, any discussion about the bright noonday sun does not have much meaning. But with the blessings of the Vedic tradition of masters—and with four Founders of World Peace in every city—we are going to ignite the light of enlightenment in one nation after another. And very soon the family of nations will rise to enjoy invincibility and permanent peace and the supreme level of consciousness—Unity Consciousness—now and for all generations to come,” Maharishi said.

(July 13, 2004) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi delivered an urgent message this week to government leaders and well-wishers of peace in every country: Destructive political powers will destroy the sovereignty of any nation in the name of democracy and freedom, and the only safeguard is to immediately establish in every nation Peace Palaces with groups of a few hundred to a few thousand peace-creating experts. Such groups, Maharishi said, will create coherent collective consciousness to prevent enemies and safeguard a nation’s independence and sovereignty.

“Sovereignty is a joke—it has no meaning in the world today. It can be bought like apples and bananas in the market by anyone who has money,” Maharishi said. “The Global Country of World Peace has arisen to safeguard the most precious value of a nation—its sovereignty. It will bring the administration of total Natural Law—which administers the universe with perfect order—to the administration of every nation. Then every nation will rise to invincibility, and the whole world family will enjoy permanent harmony and peace.”

Humanly conceived constitutions are a laughingstock

Maharishi targeted “humanly conceived constitutions” as the source of the upheaval that dominates world events. Such manmade constitutions, Maharishi said, reflect the weaknesses and failures of the human mind—and have proven incompetent to bring either order or satisfaction to any nation. “With all respect to the forefathers of the nation, humanly conceived constitutions are a laughingstock in the world today,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi also condemned foreign powers for imposing democracy on smaller nations. “The democratic system of administration promotes disorder and conflict in a nation through divisive political parties—all in the name of freedom and human rights,” Maharishi said. “In truth, it only benefits those who want to weaken a nation and destroy the sovereignty of one country after another—like big fish that swallow smaller fish.”

Every government has a choice: prevention or surrender

Maharishi said that every government has a choice: prevention or surrender. “Either become stronger and prevent the enemy—or do nothing and surrender your sovereignty and dignity,” Maharishi told the government leaders. “The only way to eliminate darkness is to bring the light. In the same way, the only way to prevent a destructive influence in your country is to create a coherent, unified national consciousness.”

The offer of the Global Country of World Peace is based
on 50 years of success and extensive scientific research

Maharishi said that the Global Country of World Peace is prepared to create coherent collective consciousness for every government by establishing peace-creating groups in the country. Through the recitation of coherence-creating Vedic sounds and the collective practice of Yogic Flying, these groups will enliven the Constitution of the Universe—the Unified Field that administers all diversity in the universe—to create coherent collective consciousness. The size of the group—from several hundred to several thousand experts—depends upon the population of the country. The effectiveness of the program has been demonstrated by nearly 50 years of success worldwide and more than 600 scientific research studies conducted in 210 universities and research institutions in 33 countries.

“The need is urgent—so do it immediately”

To establish a group for every city, state, and nation, Maharishi said, 3,000 Peace Palaces will be built in the world’s largest 3,000 cities to serve as proper homes for the peace-creating experts.

Maharishi called on a few well-wishers of peace in every city to locate land for the Peace Palace and help quickly achieve the global peace plan. “Only a few enlightened individuals are needed in every city to establish the Peace Palace and secure the invincibility and sovereignty of the nation. The need is urgent—so do it immediately,” Maharishi told the well-wishers. “There is no time to lose—every moment is important during these cloudy days of destruction and chaos.”

(July 6, 2004) This week, His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi is inaugurating seven historic global sessions of the Parliament of World Peace, which began on July 3 and is continuing every day through July 9. Maharishi declared during the opening session that the widespread propagation of the total knowledge of Natural Law will fulfill the spirit of globalization rising in the world and that every individual born on earth will enjoy the supreme level of human development—Unity Consciousness.

Maharishi is delivering his inaugural addresses to leaders of society—businessmen, lawyers, doctors, educators, etc.—who have convened in countries on all continents for the Parliamentary sessions. Maharishi is speaking live via global videoconference and Internet webcast from the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in Meru, Holland. The inauguration of the Maharishi World Peace Parliament followed the global Guru Purnima celebrations held on July 2 in honor of Maharishi’s teacher, Guru Dev, and the Vedic tradition of masters who are the eternal custodians of the total knowledge of Natural Law.

Bridging the gap between individual life and cosmic life

Maharishi described current political efforts to unify nations as “admirable” but nonetheless doomed to failure because they are based on human concepts. “Human concepts, no matter how grand they may appear, have limitations—they are not developed enough to be evolutionary for everyone,” Maharishi said. “The Parliament of World Peace will bridge the gap between the limitations of human life and the unlimited dignity of cosmic life. It will bridge the gap between manmade constitutions, with their human weaknesses and failings, and the Constitution of the Universe, which administers the infinite diversity of the ever-expanding galactic universe with perfect order.”

Maharishi said the World Peace Parliaments will provide a shortcut to globalization by enlivening in world consciousness the fundamental law of unity at the basis of all diversity. “Our authenticity lies in the eternal reality of the Unified Field—Transcendental Consciousness—that is beyond all limitations. It is the unified basis of all diverse values in creation.”

Technology is available for the propagation of total Natural Law

Maharishi said that the technology is now available for the rapid propagation of the total knowledge of Natural Law to fulfill the spirit of globalization. “From modern science, we have instruments for instant communication to all parts of the world,” Maharishi said. “But far beyond this, from Vedic science, we know that the supreme instrument of the human physiology can be refined through proper training so that anyone can directly fathom the transcendental field of consciousness—the field of unity—within his own Self. And from that unified level, which is beyond space-time boundaries, anyone can influence the whole diversified universe without restriction. This is the supreme level of human consciousness—Unity Consciousness—which will create a unified family of nations while upholding the cultural differences of every country.”

Maharishi said that Peace Palaces are now being established in every country to propagate total knowledge to the whole population and establish the reign of Unity Consciousness in the world. “Just a few light posts are enough to light an entire field. In the same way, we are establishing 3,000 Peace Palaces—a small number compared to the world’s six billion people—which will be enough ‘lighted lamps’ in world consciousness to keep the life of the people high above the reach of mistakes, problems, and suffering in this generation—and for all generations to come,” Maharishi said.

Plans of the Maharishi World Peace Parliaments

His Excellency Dr. Benjamin Feldman, Minister of Finance and Planning of the Global Country of World Peace, presented the plans of the Maharishi World Peace Parliaments, which include:

• In every country, groups of 108 (or 54) Members of the Maharishi Peace Parliament will convene for one week (from Saturday to Friday) twice a year. Each session will connect with the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in Meru, Holland, via videoconference or the most advanced system of Internet webcasting. Every week, there will be an opportunity for leaders of society to join a new group as a “Member of the Parliament” or as an “Honorable Guest of the Parliament.”

• Members of the Parliament will be examples of health, peace, and prosperity in their society. They will discuss and design programs to apply total Natural Law to create ideal education, health, agriculture, economy, law, administration, defense, architecture and city planning, engineering, music, and politics—culminating in the establishment of permanent world peace. Members of the Parliament will also plan the construction of 3,000 Peace Palaces in the world’s largest 3,000 cities.

“Maharishi World Peace Parliaments are a precious gift from Maharishi to the whole world,” Dr. Feldman said. “With the total knowledge of Natural Law now available to make all areas of life ideal, society will blossom in perfection in the light of total Natural Law—the will of God.”
