Creating coherent world consciousness
Follow His Majesty Raja Raam to create a
Rapid progress made in establishing
(December 3, 2003) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi issued a strongly
worded message to world leaders to follow the leadership of His Majesty
Raja Raam, First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, and
establish large groups of peace-creating experts in their countries to
promote coherent national consciousness—the basis of
prevention-oriented, problem-free administration and invincibility for
every nation.
Maharishi said the need for such groups is urgent in a world where no
nation can defend itself from enemies that cannot be seen, or from
missiles that can turn society to ashes. “If there is to be a tomorrow,
it will not come from the destructive policies of current governments.
It will only come from His Majesty Raja Raam’s generous policy of
creating coherent world consciousness so that negative trends do not
arise anywhere in any nation,” Maharishi said.
Maharishi’s message came during his global news conference on Wednesday,
November 26, which was broadcast live via satellite and Internet webcast
from the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in Meru, Holland.
Rapid progress in establishing
Peace Governments in 108 countries
Maharishi announced rapid progress in his plan to establish Peace
Governments in 108 countries. His Majesty Raja Raam is now appointing
leading scientists in these countries to serve as presidents of the
Peace Governments, and each president is appointing vice-presidents and
provincial governors. The Peace Governments are establishing:
•
UNIVERSITIES OF WORLD PEACE
in 108 countries, with groups of a few hundred to a few thousand
students who will practice Yogic Flying to create coherent national
consciousness. “These coherence-creating groups of Yogic Flyers will
engage total Natural Law—which administers the universe with perfect
order—to work for the nation to create prevention-oriented,
problem-free, automatic administration,” Maharishi said.

3000 Peace Palaces
in the world’s largest 3000 cities. Each Peace Palace will be a centre
for a group of 100 to 200 peace-creating experts. It will also offer
Consciousness-Based approaches to education, health care, economics,
political science, administration, defense, agriculture, and
architecture and city planning. “Each Peace Palace will be a centre for
perfect health, enlightenment, and peace for the whole population,”
Maharishi said.
• POVERTY REMOVAL PROGRAMS
in the world’s
poorest countries to eliminate poverty and promote invincibility for
these nations. The program calls for the cultivation of unused land with
agricultural potential in these countries to grow organic food. Profits
from the sale of this pure food will finance local schools, colleges,
and universities that offer Consciousness-Based education to promote
higher consciousness, as well as health clinics that offer
Consciousness-Based health care to promote perfect health. Profits will
also provide scholarships for peace-creating students.
Start-up costs for this program will be provided by liberal use of His
Majesty Raja Raam’s global development currency, the Raam. The
development currency will not be a loan or aid from the Global Country
of World Peace, but instead will be provided “from one country to
another country like members of a global family,” Maharishi said.
His Majesty Raja Raam is
the world’s foremost scientist who discovered that the human physiology
is the expression of the Unified Field of Natural Law—the field of
consciousness. His discovery revealed that every individual has cosmic
potential, which can be enlivened through Consciousness-Based
programs—including Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying—to promote
higher states of consciousness for the individual and peace in the
world.
Culturing mistake-free,
problem-free life In
answer to a press question, Maharishi explained that the reason people
face problems and suffering in life is because they have not been
properly educated. “But now that we know how to handle all the physical
values of life from their basis in the field of consciousness, it is
simple for us to culture life to be mistake-free and problem-free. And
with Consciousness-Based education, we will make it permanent,”
Maharishi said.
“Our goal is in sight—within a
few months, we will have a better world”
Maharishi concluded by declaring that a better world is dawning. “Fifty
years of experience teaching Transcendental Meditation to millions of
people throughout the world, hundreds of scientific research studies,
and validation from theories of both modern science and ancient Vedic
science confirm that our undertaking is right,” Maharishi said. “Our
goal is in sight—and within a few months, we will have a better world.”

Stop teaching the sciences
Instead, teach the science of consciousness
(December 9,
2003) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi called on the president of
Maharishi University of Management in the United States to deliver a
bold challenge to America’s university presidents: Stop teaching the
physical sciences that are being used to create weapons to destroy life.
Instead, teach the basis of these sciences—the Unified Field, the field
of consciousness—to create a peaceful, problem-free world.
Maharishi’s declaration
came during his global news conference on Wednesday, December 3, which
was broadcast live via satellite and Internet webcast from the Capital
of the Global Country of World Peace in Meru, Holland.
“Why are
America’s universities teaching science to the next generation? So that
weapons can be created and people can be burned in the fire of missiles?
Shame on these university presidents—and shame on the people who fund
these universities,” Maharishi said. “I am asking Dr. Bevan Morris, the
president of my university in Fairfield, Iowa, to challenge these
educators to stop teaching this science and start teaching the science

Engaging the Unified
Field to create a world free from problems and suffering
Maharishi described the
development of destructive technologies as the negative side of today’s
world. However, Maharishi emphasized, there is a positive side as well.
“The complete science and technology of consciousness—the Unified Field,
which governs the infinite diversity of the universe with perfect
order—is now in our possession. With this knowledge it will be easy for
us to train individuals and governments to engage the Unified Field to
work for them, to create a world free from problems and suffering,”
Maharishi said.
Maharishi called for this
Consciousness-Based approach to be implemented in every school, college,
and university in every country in order to make education complete.
“Education should provide complete knowledge of consciousness and the
technologies to develop the students’ total brain potential so that they
don’t make mistakes or create problems for themselves or for society,”
Maharishi said.
To promote
prevention-oriented, problem-free administration in every government,
Maharishi also called for the implementation in every nation of the
Consciousness-Based approach to health care, economics, political
science, administration, defense, agriculture, and architecture and city
planning.
Maharishi
concluded with a special message for the world press. “Good writers are
opinion makers. So take our message to the people, and they will act on
it to create peace,” said Maharishi, who emphasized the simplicity of
his message: “Bringing the light is the only way to overcome darkness.
With this knowledge of consciousness, it is completely possible to
create Heaven on Earth because heaven—the lively field of all
possibilities—is within everyone.”

Dear Mr. President:
I am writing to every
President of American Colleges and Universities with a challenge:
It is a great shame that
American higher education teaches science that is used by government and
corporate laboratories to create weapons that burn human beings and kill
human beings. Such science is a killer.
I challenge every American
educational institution to stop teaching such science. To continue to do
so would be a shame on American education.
Scientific education should
culture students so that they will use their genius to create only
life-supporting technologies. Higher education should culture students
to live in higher states of consciousness so that they will never commit
the terrible sin of creating weapons, or performing any other action
destructive to life on earth.
The Founder of our
University, His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, has made such a complete
scientific educational system—Consciousness-Based Education—available in
America for more than 30 years. It is practical and proven to
work—developing the total brain functioning to unfold the full creative
intelligence of the student.
If America’s universities
continue to support science that can be used to destroy life, then you
should remember: as you sow, so shall you reap. When disaster strikes
the nation as a result of its own destructive actions, it is the
Universities that will bear the shame and the blame for having trained
the scientists and leaders who led the nation to this disaster.

Maharishi’s peace plan featured in major

(December 16, 2003) His Holiness
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi declared that the knowledge of total Natural
Law—which administers the universe with perfect order—is now available
for governments and peace-loving philanthropists who desire to create an
ideal civilization and end the barbarism that has gripped the world for
centuries.
Maharishi also praised Dr. John
Hagelin, world-renowned quantum physicist and President of the US Peace
Government, along with other wise leaders of America for their resolve
to raise a $1 billion endowment to establish in the United States a
University of World Peace with a permanent group of 8,000 peace-creating
experts. Dr. Hagelin also serves as Minister of Science and Technology
of the Global Country of World Peace.
The power of good is far
greater than the power of evil
“Hundreds of billions of dollars are spent
each year to build weapons of destruction, but only one billion dollars
is needed to create permanent world peace. This is because the power of
good is far greater than the power of evil,” Maharishi said.
Maharishi’s pronouncements came on Wednesday,
December 10, during his global news conference, which was broadcast live
via satellite and Internet webcast from the Capital of the Global
Country of World Peace in Meru, Holland. During the news conference,
Maharishi answered questions from members of the Washington
international press corps who had assembled at the Maharishi Peace
Palace in Bethesda, Maryland, USA, for the broadcast.
Maharishi’s peace plan was featured in hundreds
of newspapers and radio and television broadcasts worldwide.
Constitution of the Universe together with
man-made constitutions
Maharishi said that the
prevailing system of administration—democracy—is at the basis of today’s
problem-ridden world. Maharishi dismissed democracy as “childish and
lacking in intelligence” because it promotes opposition and division
within a nation. However, Maharishi added, he was heartened by the
growing realization among intelligent people that a change is needed in
the administration of society—and Maharishi offered Vedic administration
as the solution.
“Vedic administration provides
the programs and procedures for any government to engage total Natural
Law to make national administration as orderly, evolutionary, and
blissful as the administration of the universe,” Maharishi said. “Total
Natural Law—the Constitution of the Universe—together with the man-made
constitutions of every country will create a perfect civilization in the
light of God.”
Proper education is the key to
the global transformation
Maharishi explained that proper
education is key to this global transformation. “The nature of life is
bliss. And the purpose of education is to connect the conscious mind
with this basic reality of life, which has been lost to memory due to
improper education. This is easy to achieve because the field of
bliss—the Unified Field of Natural Law—is the self-referral
consciousness of everyone. Through Vedic education, the nature of life
will be brought up from this transcendental field to conscious
awareness, and mankind will live in bliss, peace, affluence, and all
possibilities,” Maharishi said.
$1 billion endowment to employ
In response to a reporter’s
question, Maharishi said that the $1 billion endowment will be used to
employ a permanent group of 8,000 peace-creating experts to promote
coherent world consciousness. “The cost to create world peace is small.
For a minimum expenditure, we can establish on a permanent basis a high
degree of coherence in world consciousness so that cruel and disruptive
forces will not erupt anywhere on earth,” Maharishi said.
Only the investment income of the endowment
fund will be used for the peace projects; the principal will always

“The world is destined to be peaceful and
happy”
Maharishi concluded by saying
that despite today’s global problems, the world is destined to be
peaceful and happy in the light of total Natural Law—the light of God.
“It could happen any day,” Maharishi said. “It only needs one or two
wealthy well-wishers of peace to realize that their money, which has
been used for killing and war, can now be used for peace and happiness.
So we thank all those who aspire to transform our world and create a
beautiful civilization for all times to come.”

“It will be a great joy for everyone to
participate in creating permanent world peace. The first best choice
will be to practice Transcendental Meditation to develop total brain

country a Peace Government and contribute to build Schools, Colleges,

nation. “With an open heart we warmly invite every government to rise to
invincibility through total Natural Law,” Maharishi said. “The
administration of every nation should be perfect—it should be as
natural, simple, and automatic as the administration of the universe.
The opportunity is there, and everyone has a choice. So let’s choose
what we all deserve—perfection in life.”
Consciousness-Based Education to develop
total brain functioning
Maharishi said that the key to perfection in
life is Consciousness-Based Education. “Consciousness-Based Education
trains the mind to settle down to the unmanifest, self-referral Unified
Field, where all the laws of nature are lively and from where the entire
manifest world emerges,” Maharishi said. “It trains the mind to
function from this field of Transcendental Consciousness so that we
become the master of all we survey. Consciousness-Based Education offers
a great, royal dignity to the life of every individual and every
nation.”
Maharishi called on education ministers in
every country to adopt Consciousness-Based Education. “If you have to
teach something, teach the science of consciousness. Teach students to
develop their total brain physiology and engage the power of total
Natural Law—the light of God—in their thought, speech, and action. And
establish groups of coherence-creating experts in schools, colleges, and
universities to create an atmosphere of peace and harmony so that no
negativity, no problems, no poverty, and no suffering will sprout
anywhere in the nation or the world,” Maharishi said.
A supreme gift from the Vedic tradition of

Maharishi concluded by emphasizing that the
experience of Transcendental Consciousness is available to everyone—and
with that experience comes the ability to accomplish anything in life.
“And ‘anything’ in this context means: the ability to create world peace
immediately,” Maharishi said. “This experience will remove shadows from
the world, just as darkness is removed with the onset of light. A
beautiful time is dawning for all mankind. It is a supreme gift from the
Vedic tradition of masters of India from time immemorial.”

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi announced an historic two-month course to train
Administrators of his Global Country of World Peace—the next grand step
in Maharishi’s master plan to create Heaven on Earth through the
knowledge of total Natural Law, which administers the universe with
perfect order. The training is scheduled to begin on January 12, 2004.
Maharishi said that the newly
trained administrators—Rajas in the nomenclature of India—will
assist His Majesty Raja Raam, First Ruler of the Global Country of World
Peace, in bringing to every government the parental power of total
Natural Law—the total will of God—to promote peaceful, successful
administration in every nation.
“There must be Rajas in every
region of the world who will administer the world with the same flawless
perfection as total Natural Law administers the infinite diversity of
the universe,” Maharishi said. “These Rajas will apply the knowledge of
total Natural Law in every area of society to create enlightened
individuals, enlightened nations, and an enlightened world. With such
global administration through total Natural Law—known in the Vedic
literature of ancient India as Raam Raj—suffering will belong to
no one.”

Group practice to produce a group effect of
peace
Maharishi said that the training course comes
after nearly 50 years of bringing enlightenment to millions of
individuals throughout the world through Transcendental Meditation. Now,
Maharishi said, his emphasis is on group practice—establishing in every
country groups of a few hundred to a few thousand peace-creating experts
to produce a group effect of peace and positivity. “This group practice
promises to transform our dear world in one stroke by enlivening total
Natural Law in world consciousness. This will eliminate weaknesses in
every area of life and create a peaceful, prosperous world family,”
Maharishi said.
Every undertaking of the Rajas to be
supported by total Natural Law
Maharishi said that the Rajas will, through
their daily routine of life, quickly rise to enlightenment by enlivening
total Natural Law within their own self-referral consciousness. And in
their public life, the Rajas will train local educators, doctors,
farmers, etc., in the knowledge of total Natural Law to promote
prevention-oriented, problem-free administration. “In this way, every
undertaking of the Rajas will be supported by the almighty, eternally
successful power of total Natural Law—the will of God,” Maharishi said.
Promoting naturalness of life through Vedic
science in all areas of society
Maharishi acknowledged that suffering is
widespread in the world—but said that suffering is not inevitable. “All
suffering is due to lack of proper understanding about the nature of
life—which is bliss. We will promote this naturalness of life through
Vedic education, Vedic health care, Vedic agriculture—through all the
beautiful, glorious Vedic approaches that enliven total Natural Law in
all areas of life,” Maharishi said.
As an example, Maharishi said that the Rajas
will promote Vedic education in the schools, colleges, and universities
in every country so that every student’s thought, speech, and action
will be supported by the evolutionary power of total Natural Law for a
mistake-free, problem-free life. “Total Natural Law is simple to
know—only it has to be known by being it,” Maharishi said. “And
that is now available to every student in the experience of
Transcendental Consciousness gained through Transcendental Meditation.”
“The custodians of total Natural Law will be
like lighted lamps of peace”
Maharishi concluded by declaring that now is
the ideal time for the world to gain this knowledge of perfection of
life because every aspect of the knowledge has been applied, understood,
and verified for its effectiveness. “That is why we feel comfortable to
take this step to train as many custodians of total Natural Law as
possible. They will be like beautiful oases in the desert. They will
function from the level of total Natural Law—the field of peace—within
themselves and be like lighted lamps of peace throughout the world. They
will create a beautiful world of harmony, prosperity, and all good for
