Maharishi
Mahesh Yogi on Akshaya Tritiya,
the Day of Lasting Achievements

An
Ideal System of Administration of Human Life on Earth
It’s a great fortunate
time for the world that we are inaugurating today the ideal system of
administration of human life on earth that will create a problem-free world.
The inauguration by King Nader Raam of the administration of the Global
Country of World Peace is an administration that will be capable of
preventing problems for anyone on the individual level, and anyone on the
national level. The history of the world for thousands of centuries has been
one of problems. From the great Vedic Tradition of Masters we have been
blessed with Total Knowledge of Natural Law, and we have been giving out to
the world a simple procedure for everyone to align his awareness to that
Cosmic Intelligence which governs the infinite diversity of the universe
with perfect order, and without a problem.

|
The Administration
of Nature
In
the administration of Nature, everything is evolving; everything is being
nourished by the total Creative Intelligence of Natural Law, which makes
everyone evolve to the supreme level of evolution of life. King Nader Raam
has described it in terms of the Vedic exhortation about the total value
of human life: Aha Brahmasmi —I am Totality. This age-old
philosophy has been the ideal for every human being throughout the world—no
matter to what religion he belongs or what language he speaks—every
individual in reality is Cosmic in his potential. Yet in his daily life he
is not living that Cosmic potential. The administration of King Nader Raam
is rising to create that administration which will make every nation, and
the residents of every nation, not have to face problems. It’s a very
great day today in the history of mankind, to have come out to say,
"Life is Bliss." No one has to face those values of life that do
not belong to life—suffering, problems.

A New
System of Administration
It’s
a very great day for us to start putting to practice a system of
administration, which we enjoy saying, is a system of enriching the
innumerable facets of life of everyone, in every age, throughout the
world. No one should face negative values, or generate conflict and
problems for himself or for anyone else. We are very happy to know that
the first ruler of the coming Age of Enlightenment is a very great
scientist, whose research in physiology has given us the theme of creation
and evolution on the level of the Self of everyone—the Unified Field—expressed
in terms of Vedic language, which is the language of the fluctuations of
consciousness. From Vedic science and from modern science, the ultimate
reality is the Unified Field—quantum field, self-referral field. So
modern science and ancient Vedic science both come together in our
awareness, and we have a scientist who has taken courage to create an
administration for the Global Country of World Peace.

The Message
of King Nader Raam
Today
is the day to rejoice in our stroke of brilliance in creating an
administration which will be an ideal example for every government in the
world of today and tomorrow. The governments will not have to face
problems. Now King Nader Raam has started to speak out his message in the
Vedic language, a language that will weave the carpet of peace perpetual.
He has ascended to that position where he has 40 Ministries in the light
of the 40 administrative values of Vedic recitation. His Majesty King
Nader Raam has discovered the Veda, which is the discovery of the process
of evolution, how evolutionary impulses of consciousness evolve. The Vedic
exhortation is: Jivo Brahmaiva naparah. The jiva—the
individual— is Brahm, Totality. How is this possible? Because
every step of evolution of the individual jiva is in tune with that
unbounded field of intelligence. We call it a "slippery field,"
the field of total life, where any impulse in one place is an impulse in
all places. Here is the secret of Nature: Within the reality of the
individual is the lively potential of the Cosmic universe.

Parliaments
of World Peace
Parliaments to Introduce ‘World-Transforming’
Knowledge for Problem-Free Administration
To Feature One-Hour Daily Broadcasts of the
Maharishi Channel Global Satellite System
Every
Nation Invited to Become a Member
of the Global Country of World Peace
“These Parliaments of World Peace will represent the voice
of the people—
the peace-loving majority in
the world today.”—Maharishi
His
Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi launched the next major phase of activity
for his worldwide Transcendental Meditation Movement—a landmark step in
the concrete realization of his 50 years of global efforts to “bring
enlightenment to every individual and peace perpetual to the world.”
Beginning Thursday, June 14, World Peace Parliaments will be held on a
daily basis all over the world—at the local, regional, national and
global levels. The Parliaments are being held under the auspices of the
Global Country of World Peace and its first sovereign ruler, His Majesty
King Nader Raam. “For
there to be world peace, there must be peace on the level of the family,
community, the nation, and the world,” said Maharishi, who founded the
Global Country of World Peace in October 2000. “These local Parliaments
of World Peace will be the units of the Global Parliament of World Peace.”
|
|
According
to Dr. Hagelin, the Minister of Science and Technology, “The World Peace
Parliaments will serve as the functioning government of the Global Country
of World Peace at the local level. “These
Parliaments will offer profound knowledge and proven, prevention-oriented
solutions, giving every nation the means to effectively prevent societal
problems, and enjoy ‘Automation in Administration,’” Dr. Hagelin
said. “This will be accomplished primarily through education—‘Administration
through Education.’” His
Majesty King Nader Raam is the world’s foremost neuroscientist, who
discovered that the human physiology is a direct, material reflection of
the field of consciousness, the field traditionally known as Veda,
which in the language of modern physics is the Unified Field of all the
Laws of Nature.
|
|
King
Nader Raam’s discovery shows that, through proper education, every
individual can have direct access to the Unified Field—the source of all
the laws of nature governing the Universe—in the simplest form of human
awareness. “Access
to this Unified Field brings mastery over Natural Law,” His Majesty
said. “Ideal education—Vedic Education—delivers the fruit of all
knowledge: mistake-free, problem-free life—action fully in accord with
all the Laws of Nature,” King Nader Raam explained. “We are founding
ideal universities and educational institutions all over the world, to
achieve Automation in Administration—‘Administration through
Education.’”
|
|
Every
Nation Invited to Become a Member of the Global Country of World Peace
King
Nader Raam invited heads of state from around the world to become members
of the Global Country of World Peace. “Each
member nation will receive the scientific knowledge and practical, proven
programs to solve and prevent societal problems, to eradicate poverty,
strengthen the economy, and achieve national invincibility,” His Majesty
said.

|
Daily
Broadcasts
Each
day, the Global Parliaments of World Peace will be broadcast worldwide
over the Maharishi Channel and the Maharishi Open University global
satellite network, connecting to Parliaments of World Peace held locally
throughout the world. Civic and community leaders—mayors, doctors,
educators, and lawyers—have been invited to participate. “The
purpose of the Parliaments of World Peace is not to compete with, or
replace, the current functions of government, whose primary focus has been
coping with the nation’s critical problems,” Dr. Hagelin said. “The
purpose of the Parliaments of World Peace will be to prevent
problems from arising. We will make the administration of every nation
simple.”
|
|
The
daily World Peace Parliament broadcasts will be one-hour in length,
beginning Thursday, June 14. (Thursday’s inaugural broadcast will be
longer—approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes—and will include remarks
by Maharishi.)

TM Activities in Arab
Gulf Area
Lebanon
is considered to be a very active country among all the 22 Arab countries,
which constitute the Arab World. This quality on the national level is
also applicable on the level of the TM Movement. Our people in all the
Arab Countries believe that they are all one nation, but this nation has
been divided into 22 countries due to foreign political influences after
the World War I and II. The Arabic language is the mother tongue of the 22
Arab Countries, for this reason it is easy for the TM Movement in Lebanon
to expand rapidly in all the Arab Countries. From Lebanon, many Governors
traveled to Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, and now in Dubai, the United
Arab Emirates.

Kuwait,
The Prototypical Oil State
When
the Iraqis were driven out in early 1991 and reconstruction work began in
the ruins of Kuwait City, the government quickly became obsessed with
meticulously re-creating the country's pre-invasion appearance - right
down to the pink marble steps at the entrance to Kuwait City's leading
five-star hotel. With the war a fading memory, Kuwait is once again the
prototypical oil state, and travelers looking for a relaxed entry into the
Muslim world can expect their share of mosques, souks and other sandy
traces of bygone Bedouin days. Tiny Kuwait sits at the north-western tip
of the Persian Gulf, bordered to the north and west by Iraq and to the
south by Saudi Arabia. It's about the size of Slovenia or the US state of
New Jersey. Kuwait's land is mostly flat and arid with little or no ground
water. The desert is generally gravelly, and the only vegetation in
existence is scrub. In the summer (April to September) Kuwait is hellishly
hot; its only saving grace is that it's nowhere near as humid as its
neighbors. The winter months are often pleasant, featuring some of the
region's coolest weather, with daytime temperatures hovering around 18°C
(64°F) and nights being genuinely chilly. Sandstorms occur throughout the
year but are particularly common in spring.

Development
of the Collective Consciousness
in Kuwait
Many
meditators are living in Kuwait, they are from different nationalities.
Due to their practice of the TM Program, we can observe clearly the
development of collective consciousness year after year. The number of
mediatators who are living in Kuwait is always increasing, Wadie
Haider, the Governor who was visiting his family members in Kuwait in the
last March said: "This time I feel that the collective consciousness
is more aware and developed, the Maharishi Channel and the internet
campaigns that we did from our TM Center in Beirut, both gave fruitful
results on the level of new meditators and also on the level of old
meditators who have learned TM since the 70's in Kuwait, I was able to
meet some of them, after that they contacted us through our email address
in Beirut, and I was very happy to know that they are still practicing TM
all these years, this I consider to be a good sign for the future of TM in
Kuwait. Another good sign is that six meditators have applied for the
coming TM-Sidhi course that it is organized in Lebanon to start by the end
of June, after they will become sidhas they will do the group program in
Kuwait to enliven the collective consciousness, and step by step we will
have an invincible Kuwait.

A Trip to United Arab Emirates
My
trip to United Arab Emirates was not planned, Mr. Wadie Haider said.
During my trip to Kuwait, I have been contacted by Mr. Salim Haddad, the
coordinator at our center in Beirut to inform me about the importance of
going to Dubai to do a public conference on TM there, for those who
contacted us enquiring about TM. At our center in Beirut we received
around 75 enquires on TM from UAE, and some numbers from Muscat, Bahrain,
Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. These countries will be our next target until all
the area becomes enlightened, Mr. Haider said. When I decided to go to
Dubai, all those from UAE have been given my email address, and quickly
they started the preparations for the Visa and the reservation for my
accommodation and the conference. The Visa was only for 15 days, and I
used these 15 days to teach three groups for a total of 20 meditators. One
of the groups was the Hindash family where the majority of its members
became maditators. It was really a joyful experience in a country that I
visited for the first time.

A Union of Seven
Sovereign Sheikhdoms
The
United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a union of seven sovereign sheikhdoms,
formed when the British withdrew from the Gulf in 1971. Travel agents are
beginning to promote it as that much hyped 'land of contrasts'. There's a
grain of truth in the cliché this time round, for it boasts mountains,
beaches, deserts, oases, camel racing, Bedouin markets and the legendary
duty free shopping of Dubai, all packed into a relatively small area. If
you only visit one country in the Gulf, the UAE is your best choice: it
has the most relaxed entry regulations in the region, the best tourist
infrastructure and, despite promoting itself exclusively to tourists with
a buck or three to spend, it's extremely accessible to independent budget
travelers. The United Arab Emirates occupies the rhinoceros horn that
protrudes into the Persian Gulf from the north-eastern tip of the Arabian
peninsula. It's bordered by Saudi Arabia in the south and east, and Oman
in the west. Its northern coast faces Iran across the Persian Gulf, while
Qatar is just 50km (30mi) to the north-west. The seven emirates are Abu
Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm al Qaiwain.
Combined, they cover an area roughly the same size as Portugal. The
Emirate of Abu Dhabi represents 85% of this total; the smallest of the
emirates, Ajman, measures only 250 sq km (100 sq mi).
Much
of the interior of the UAE is featureless desert, running to the edges of
the Empty Quarter, the largest sand desert in the world, which occupies
south-eastern Saudi Arabia. The UAE's coastal areas are marked by salt
flats, while the northern and eastern sections of the country are green
and inviting with striking mountain scenery. Fauna includes the Arabian
leopard and ibex, but you're unlikely to see more than camels and wild
goats. In spring and autumn flocks of birds migrating from Central Asia
and East Africa can sometimes be seen in the country's north. Outside of
the mountainous areas of Fujairah and Ras al-Khaimah, much of the UAE's
vegetation is the result of the government's 'greenery' program: even the
natural groves of date palms in the Buraimi Oasis on the country's eastern
border have been supplemented by acres of grass and trees planted in
municipal parks. From May to September humidity is high and daytime
temperatures commonly hover around 40°C (105°F) in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
In the eastern coastal cities of Fujairah and Khor Fakkan, the climate is
slightly less hostile thanks to occasional breezes; the mountains above
Ras al-Khaimah also provide some relief. Average daily high temperatures
drop to the more comfortable 22-30°C (70-85°F) range for the rest of the
year, though it can be very windy in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah and very
cold in the desert areas around Al-Ain. Rainfall is non-existent between
May and October, and negligible for much of the rest of the year - though
it can turn foul in December and January, which can make getting around
tricky.
